Happy Birthday to me or was it a sad one?

The end of October was my birthday and Leo decided that he would surprise me with a night out to a dinner show boat. We arrived in Nashville to the General Jackson Showboat, It looked nice and very romantic. The weather was very rainy and nasty so we didn't get to spend a lot of time outside like we wanted. The inside was very nice, it reminded me of Titanic, we sat at a table with 8 other people 3 retired teachers their husbands and a young couple who were teachers. Since I am going to be a teacher next year, most of the talk at the table was advice, pros and cons to teaching. The entertainment was good other than I had to get up onstage because it was my birthday, and the food was good. The only problem I had was after a while I felt very sick. Leo has very bad motion sickness and I didn't know that he had taken medicine before we left and I was so worried that he was going to be sick, but he didn't. I thought that my sickness would go away, but when he left the boat and went back to the hotel I still felt sick. I was trying to get sleep because I had to teach the next day, but my body could not fight it anymore and I got sick the whole night. Thank God I stopped throwing up in time to teach. So I don't know if it was the food or if I got motion sickness. So I will never forget my birthday when I got sick.

IM DANCING AGAIN!

Austin Peay State University had dance auditions for their fall and spring recitals last monday. I have not danced in 4 years and I have gained some weight. I really didn't know how things were going to go, but i went anyway. We learned a routine in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop and krump. We did work acroos the floor and center work, then did solos. It was crazy packed, could you imagine 40 people in a small room doing all of this at the same time, it was crazy. The whole thing lasted 2 hours, I was so tired, and sore. The teacher said he would post the results the next morning to my surprise, I made it. I am casted for tap, modern and ballet. I did not want hip-hop or krump so i was glad i didn't get picked for that. I am so excited, and I am going to be busy now rehearsing so pray for me.

Family new to Austin Peay State University

When Leo and I moved to Clarksville we were so happy to be away, but after awhile I got a little lonely. After 2 and a half years of being along out here in the wonderful Clarksville, I now have family out here.

My nephew Darryl got a full scholarship to play football out here at Austin Peay and he is doing great!. I love to see him play and have family stay with us at our house on weekends.

Brittony, who is my cousin, transferred here from Roane State. She is enjoying her junior year here. She likes Austin Peay, but cannot wait to graduate.

I am glad some of my family decided to move to Clarksville, it makes me good. My niece Laquisha is thinking about going to Austin Peay next year, to bad i want get to see her around on campus, because this is my last year. Austin Peay is turning out to be a family tradition.

I also learned that my old principal Mr. Wilson and Ms. Jan both graduated from Austin Peay, so what a great school.

Lets Go Peay!

These kids are getting older.

It is amazing how fast children grow and learn. Ashton and Kierstin both are doing so much now. Kierstin can talk better than anyone and she is only one! She is so funny. She is trying to learn her ABC's and she can count to five. Ashton is like a baby genius, He can count to fifteen in English and can count to ten in Spanish. It was funny when i went to pick him up from daycare and they told me he sung a Spanish song all by himself in front of the class, i could not believe it. I thank God everyday for my angels he sent me, they are so wonderful.

3rd Wedding Anniversary

The other day Leo and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We didn't have a lot of money to go somewhere really special, but my friends we all talking about Holiday world in Indiana. It was only 2 and half hours away so we decided to give it a shot. We both love amusement parks and water parks and boy was it fun. If you have never been there and you have kids, I would recommend this place to you. You pay $30.00 for the park and water park that is attached ( which is huge!) This park has unlimited free drinks and sunscreen. The food was really cheap and the park was really clean.

I really don't like rides that have big drops, but Leo talked me into riding all of the big rides in the park. Of course it was hot so we spent most of time at the water park riding rides and getting a lot of sun (like i needed sun lol!). After 5 hours of enjoying this wonderful place. We headed back to Clarksville where we got cleaned up and Leo took me to a really nice and romantic Asian restaurant.

I had a wonderful time being baby free and getting to spend some time with my husband. I can not wait to see how God is going to use our family, keep us in your prayers!

My Mom, I really love her!

My mom is so special, I don't know if she knows how much I really care for her. My mom has just purchased her new home and is in the process of moving in. I can tell that she is so excited to be doing this. She really deserves this big step. I wish I could be down there to help her move in and enjoy the house. If you don't know her, she is a wonderful person. She is such a great christian, loving, friendly, caring, and strong person. She is the type of woman who will take children under her wing when others tossed them aside and didn't care. I am so blessed to have a mom like her and I thank God everyday for her. Mom, your the best!
